Sunset High School (Portland) is seeking qualified JV and Assistant coaches for their women's lacrosse program. Sunset Lacrosse has always been among the most competitive programs in the state. The right individuals will work together with experienced Varsity Coaches to train and inspire lacrosse players at all skill levels. Small squad sizes and low player/coach ratios maximize player potential, while a strong belief in aggressive game scheduling keeps players challenged. Established in 1998, Sunset Lacrosse is a club sport run by a board of volunteers. Coaches in our club receive strong support from the board, and can concentrate fully on the players and the games, rather than administrative or operational duties.
Sunset Lacrosse is prepared to offer competitive compensation to the right individuals. The Season runs from February – May 2008. Coaches should be available for practices 5 nights/week starting late February, with games during the week. Coaches in our club receive strong support from the board of directors, and can concentrate fully on the players and the games, rather than administrative or operational duties. All coaching applicants should submit a resume and brief statement (as to what they can bring to the club) to: sunsetlacrosse@gmail.com. All applications must be received by: August 31, 2007.

The Assistant coach will work with both teams, helping a large group of players to improve their individual and tactical lacrosse skills.
